The first round is in the books, with the top 5 playing out as many expected, but after that, pure chaos from the huge reaches to teams just trading out the first round entirely, all the good Tackles off the board, but only two corners drafted the joint lowest ever, and obviously Ty Simpson going in round 1 to the Rams who you'd think with a home Super Bowl this upcoming season they might take a player that pushes them over the edge but alas they are smarter and know more than me. Here are my Winners and Losers from night 1.

The 2026 NFL draft is going to take place in Pittsburgh on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of April, which means three straight nights of staying up far too late, sleeping far too little and watching the Jets and Giants inevitably mess up the draft despite having two picks in the top 16. I’m not a professional scout, and I have no intention of being one. I’m just a bloke who loves the NFL and will do my best to explain which teams and prospects are the ones to watch and the big storylines heading into the draft.
